About Kodagu or Coorg

Kodagu (ಕೊಡಗು), formerly called Coorg is located on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats of India. It is one of the administrative districts of Karnataka, India. Occupying a total area of around 4102 kms, Coorg is the least populated district of Karnataka. It is a hilly place, the highest peak of the district i.e Tadiandamol is 5,740 ft above the sea level. The main river of Kodagu is Kaveri which originates from Talakaveri. Kodagu is bordered by Dakshina Karnataka, Hassan and Mysore districts of Karnataka on northwest, north and eastern side respectively. Where as, on the south of it lies Kannur & Wayanad districts of Kerala.
